Random Poem:

The gross infliction
of a stark addiction,
the pain that stains
the skin and purges color
from cheeks...
we're meek, fragile whirlpools
motley fools
in checkered jester outfits,
oh we simply cannot help it!
Flailing within our own cardinal sin.
Razor lines that bind
our hurt closer to ourselves
we delve farther, faster, off
our cliffs.
We can't handle this.
running from angels
through difficult angles,
crashing, burning, failure of learning.
Don't we know better,
reading the wall's black letters?
All those who were here before
leaving clues for us to store
in brains so dead from underuse
the info ends up mixed and loose.
We say, we say, we say, we say,
but do nothing...at least not today.
But if now is the time that matters most
we find ourselves without a ghost
of a chance...romance? Hah, what a ruse,
a ploy to expose self to abuse.
But we end up trying
while, in truth, we're dying.
"Love is a dirty street
and we are nothing but fear and meat."
