Random Poem:

Pieces
JoelJosol

There is no bridge                                nor causeway between
 1
your absence and                              my desire. It is
 2
a heavy log to carry                          whose weight will plunge it
 3
down my mental chasm,                      to undefined depths of insanity,
 4
from where anguish                            does not rise to be heard,
 5
but muted by                                       a thick air of uncertainty
 6
where love like a flame                         can only glow faintly.
 7
There is no reminder,                          or signal, nor smoke
 8
that can rise                                      to advertise my longing
 9
or traces of it                                     in burnt ashes or embers
 10
for you to look upon,                       the monsoon rains drenched them,
 11
pushing them onto our gap,            crashing down on sharp surfaces
 12
to break up                                      like pieces of myself.
