Random Poem:

Sun chased the Moon

Your loss
is my regret,
and my perpetual relief;
for we don’t hold service
when the deceased did not exist
with a name or address
but anonymous,
took up residence in our collective self
and though we pet-named, nick-named,
no arrangement of sound
did justice to its ephemeral beauty.
Your loss
is my loss,
and my indisputable gain;
for my part it lived, manifested in emission
while you managed a feeble reflection.
For a time, you gave chase:
a night followed every day;
in time, day followed night
as Sun chased the Moon.
Moon, you’ve made sad the Sun;
she’s drifting away,
to find that nameless star again.
