Loner Man |
mrtvo
|
Everyday, waking up, | 1 |
Alone, at home, | 2 |
Our man, this loner man, | 3 |
Has nothing of his own. | 4 |
| |
No mum or dad to greet in the morning, | 5 |
No children to see playing in the afternoon, | 6 |
No wife to hug and kiss in the evening, | 7 |
No family to speak of, not even soon. | 8 |
| |
Wasting his life, alone at home, | 9 |
Looking out the window at bustling streets and crowds, | 10 |
Everything passes by his lowly abode, | 11 |
Leaving it shrouded in past time clouds. | 12 |
| |
Destined to lead a lonesome life, | 13 |
One full of grief and sorrow, | 14 |
Yearning to lead a plentiful life, | 15 |
Not one like this perpetual hollow. | 16 |
| |
Ever wanting to have love in life, | 17 |
Ever wanting to experience this great gift, | 18 |
Ever wanting to feel loved by one, | 19 |
Can’t be done, for he is ever trapped in life’s drifts. | 20 |
| |
The day passes by, | 21 |
Another 24 hours gone, | 22 |
Another day to strike off from his calendar, | 23 |
Our loner man (has no choice but to) accept this life of bliss and wonder. | 24 |
