Random Poem:

Miles away

It burns
burns deep into the trenches of my self
their eyes a magnifying glass
concentrating the heat of their life
on my soul.
looming gray pain for them sets in as they
there way to ignorance
placid bliss, mindless joy induced
through the burning of green leaves, fermented hops
their      for escape never ceases.
They take my inner being
roll and light my love for them
without second thoughts
Slumped in room I pick
notes that remind me of times past.
the black top of innocence
a sense
of life not interfered by substance
only the gaining of substance of character and friendship
now friendship and times of innocence are profaned by white lies… and more.
All of this for what?
a momentary feel good notion,
lose of inhibitions, lose of being and place.
I hide face,       shot eyes reveal my suffering to walls unforgiving
words do not change lives of friends
maybe my love for them can.
              - Your truest Friend,
