Random Poem:

The Apathy of Drama

It's a mad dash to the bathroom
and I'm hugging the throne
my stomach rebels at the idea
If only the truth were known
My head is spinning
so the room must really be standing still
my fingers are tingling
and this adrenaline is far less than a thrill
how is it that words can bring the house down
pinning me underneath
my limbs going numb from pain
and the best defense I can manage is to grit my teeth
and my over active imagination is overreacting again
fueled by thousands of images of broken glass hearts
I'm still here kneeling over mine
picking up the shattered parts
There is no way to look back
the blinders are all in place
i am the beast of burden
in this charitable society race
what's with these voices
echoing in the caverns of my soul
don't let me believe them
