Random Poem:

on my way to get more beer
unknown

mr.  crenshaw's
 1
in the front yard
 2
with tate,
 3
his ancient
 4
jack russell.
 5

my next door neighbor
 6
said back in the seventies
 7
before crenshaw's wife
 8
od’d on sleeping pills
 9
they'd throw huge parties
 10
in the back yard,
 11
invite everyone
 12
on our street.
 13

told me crenshaw
 14
played accordion
 15
and when he'd had enough liquor
 16
he'd put on a turban
 17
and read palms.
 18

now
 19
the only time
 20
he shows himself
 21
is when tate
 22
needs to go.
 23

only callers
 24
i ever see
 25
are the mailman
 26
and meals
 27
on wheels.
 28

fresh case
 29
in hand,
 30
i click back
 31
onto my street.
 32

there's crenshaw
 33
solid as a pole
 34
and poor old tate
 35
still squatting,
 36
quivering his haunches
 37
at the wind.
