Random Poem:

if you send for me

Take these memories,
put ‘em by the trash
and never throw them out;
It’s true
I don’t contribute shit.
I do everything I do for me and me alone
but you might as well try, cuz
you’ll find whatever you look for.
Every word means everything,
you’ll find what you want to find.
I don’t know how to be sober.
“Sounds like you hurt him,” thanks,
I tried.
I picture us in a sad heap
crying all on top of one another.
The thing is, you’re going to the same place whether you’re on one or not.
The chains and the signposts don’t change.
It’s about the route,
but you’re still going nowhere.
Then this bitch is like “future bridesmades”
and I gag. Not a one is engaged.
C’mon. That's gotta be a red flag.
Don’t tell me it’s cute.
I don’t love you.
I love the bad side you bring out of me.
I love the bad habits you arouse in me.
I love how you make me hate myself.
Really though, how the hell does that happen?
I like the hurt of you not answering
when you’re not there I want you bad
but if you send for me
you know I won’t come.
