Random Poem:

the performance

the lights go low.
the butterflies inside eat at me,
like a virus slowly killing me.
we walk on to the dark setting,
a coffee shop.
i watch as the customers,
my friends,
all pretend to be who they are not.
i have never made coffee in my life,
but here i stand,
a barista.
talking to the guy at the register,
words flying out
like im hypnotised.
i dont want to say those words, i never would.
but im a "talking prop".
i learn false movement,
live a false life,
and make coffee
that tastes like watered down dog food.
the lights dim agian.
[walk out of the coffee shop]
my performance is over... for today
