Random Poem:

Warmth on Colder Days

Tonight, following the hockey game and horror movie,
you held me, Eskimo-kissing my nose
and cradling me more beautifully than Klimt could express.
We weren't sure how or if it would work--
the you and me,
the first month of college--
but with the fall of leaves
comes the fall of myself into a better sphere;
the completion of summer,
the stronger happiness of every day.
So I suppose I'd like to thank you
for the embrace
that reminded me of overcoats and mittens;
protection from the bitter cold.
