Random Poem:

Flesh and Bone
kendell

He scans the fifth floor where her flat is,
 1
and, as he tilts his head backwards
 2
looking from left to right,
 3
feels the base of his skull rub
 4
against the top of his spine; it reminds
 5
him of when he was young and looked
 6
in the mirror pulling the skin
 7
back around his eyes to reveal
 8
his eyeballs, or stretch aside
 9
his lower lip and expose
 10
the shape of his jaw as he moved it
 11
from side to side picturing
 12
the flesh and bone beneath his face.
 13

Her light is on;
 14
he walks to the building's entrance
 15
and presses the intercom button.
 16
He has no idea what he's going to say.
