Random Poem:

I ♥ NY

A coffee cup-
my morning companion, white in
color, composed of ceramic.
And down the handle on the side, letters read
I ♥ NY.
In fact, you see that all over the damn thing- 14 times in all-
once on that handle,
twelve times in a pattern which circles the sides
and once more on the inside of the cup
placed at the top, for one to read while drinking.
I pour in black coffee,
raw as these words.
I leave it alone to cool;
it is done when the airy steam is gone.
Then I pick up my cup,
                      blow on the firey drug,
                                                 and sip.
It feels so good to have somthing against my lips
in place of your kiss...
which never really happened, outside of my imagination.
A wonderful illusion that replays in my head
while reading the border across the cup.
NY stands for 'New York',
New York is where you now live
cohabitating with opportunities that I will never have
so many miles south in Hypocrite-Land.
You hate that place
and I hate that you hate it.
But even though I haven't been there, I ♥ NY
simply because it is where you now live,
and no matter how far away
I ♥ U.
