Random Poem:

Haikus Inspired by a Dream

Ticking, clicking, both
At one rhythm, swish, and stop.
Clockhands and white chalk.
School bells ring again,
Old friends and jasmine essence.
Must the dream conclude?
My old uniform
Lies stained in playground colors;
Blots of memory.
Twisted through the sky
Two Gulmohar trees entwined
In schoolyard memoirs
And she comes again,
Years after, before we met,
Why am I in love again?
In love with her jasmine scent,
In love with her smiles,
In love with her eyes I haven’t seen.
And we fall again,
My delusion and myself
Into each other.
Breathe, breathe in the air,
Don’t be afraid to care,
The dream is over.
Another morning…
And another nine to five…
But what’s that fragrance?
That’s jasmine in the air.
