The balance machine	1
helps you hold on	2
to the best moments of your life	3
with proficient grace.	4

Its oiled cogs and fluent flywheels	5
mean no more obliteration of moments	6
when life was a dive in the cherry bowl,	7
or having to ask another what you did	8
in order to recall that crucial time.	9

Press its golden button	10
and the balance machine	11
strikes perfect timing.	12
Goodbye to getting stuck	13
at a point in the argument	14
when outpourings of bile and venom	15
corrode the tender carapace of your mind.	16

The balance machine ensures	17
that only the sweet kiss of reconciliation	18
remains instead, and though not unscathed,	19
you appear to outside world at least,	20
untarnished.	21
