Tread softly because you tread on my dreams  smugzy  26 Jan 08 1:27PM Thread Closed

Apart from writing better poetry, what are your dreams/ambitions in terms of personal achievements? I'm a nosy cow and having dreams is very important; sharing them makes them move that bit closer to becoming real.........my dreams that I'm working towards making a reality are to pass my grade 8 piano this year, learn to play guitar from scratch and move towards singing/performing in public.

i'm only real when i'm writing, even when i'm writing this comment. i wish that there was this cool poetry site where everyone was through the gamma-tron, reflecting outside the atmosphere of becoming, and looking at the way a  boy's neck is so cute to a girl when it looks like the word "position" in a poem she wrote, that time it was written. that time. so, they'd all be my 16  older brothers and watch out for me and i'd play the sitar at macdonalds, just as nick once plucked his sitar for me at the hays-bick in cambridge in '66.

a writer writes and writes and a pianist plays piano over and over and a photographer takes many pictures -- engage in the Dream and allow it to happen -- the giver is the real Lover -- a Heart enraptured riding the glimmering shimmering wave of ecstasies to the Goal divine; the longing song to Love sublime -- I want to become a Poet like a sphere which has his centre everywhere and her circumference nowhere, without but within, no beginning or end...

the dream walk isn't dream, and that's why we make art -- the game of walking in a dream... but, how many of you are really photographers? willing to let light into the cunt of your lens... photographing "LIGHT" only? and writing, recording only the word-sounds that present to consciousness in response to the catalyst? the emotion dimly felt and realized in sound space and thought time as a poem? the "shaman" is the sphere, but, if you've ever been there, remember that you only know how to knock symbols around with your magic stick and can't even find the stick cause it turned into a worm eating your brain. how pretty and romantic is that? we're just writers.

yeah and that lowly worm that slimmered within as a curious catalyst did begin to metamorphosise as a nymph of dreams emerged and a Yellow-winged Darter DragonFly did glitter by with the sound of Why? The shimmered wing did fling the Light and synapses fired a neuronal sight and the Dream became realized. GlimmeRings and SpHericals as waves of sound and site on the pond of the Dreaming mind where not was wrong nor right!

how then could it not be said. but this does seem to be said in a manner, and by an actor in the play and not a butterfly. how then do we make art? you talk of the emotion of making art, the feeling, but that's said artfully, as art, and doesn't take me in hand and float me over the scene of your whatever and neuron. i'm simply in a seat in the auditorium where you're saying "art isn't real, it's you in the seat watching me make art". complicated.

I get your point -- so how to engage the reader into the play with his own Wonder the way -- that is the quest of Art like a revealer and director yet as a lover who is giver without end -- how then? -- I'm testing the minimalistic form which leaves a lot of room for this reader to many wonders but it is musicaless in my hands and leaves hard pretty crystals all around as dejectamembra of insights! This show and tell formlessness --

i love making things, love making music and writing, and i can play only for myself, but that's not really the point with art -- it's like jerking off: how do you trip on feeling that it's not really you or your own? -- sorry, but you know. so, to make the experience isn't really like masturbating, it's like tripping on how to make the thing reflect "how you thought of it", not what you thought. you know the thing about how it's not that kid's like to play simple music when they bang on a drum... it's that they can't make their hands move fast and complicated -- haven't the coordination. had they, they'd do amazing things with music and not just "feeling amazing things when they hit with sticks". we'd understand more what music was about just listening to them.

so, the magic act, tricking, but there are really magical magic acts, like an opera performance of strauss's "cappricio" or dylan thomas reading his poetry live in our living room. just reading our stuff too, and maybe to a good listener.

hmmm thanks for that -- some things to masticate, er, bated -- anyways yeah I'm disassembling and peer reviewing to get along in the Poetry --

Wreck is my experiMental minimalNilhism within which I try what you've pointed out above but it don't sing --

no forgiving
speeds away

doors slammed
furious hurts
raging gears

tires squealing
resistance
a combustive

violence,
hurtling metal
fear, teeth clutched

shifting knuckles
eyes wide jammed
aching heaving

faster faster foot
to the pedal
ramming night

screaming, shiny
jagged pieces
at the velocity of anger
