i could go on about things i "learned from my father"

my dad taught me how to play pool very well- how to pull off complicated shots and things. His dad was in the same pool team as Alex Higgins...whos a pretty famous ex-snooker player for those not in the know...
My dad died fairly young (he was 38), I was 11. He could take a car completely apart and put it back together- he taught himself tons of things. He was a dab hand at absolutely everything- painting and decorating, gardening, putting up walls, fences, making furniture and other things from wood..
unfortunately I was too young to learn alot of this from him, but It was inspirational enough that I did learn some of it years later.

That's my mother's job. She's a bit crazy, and she believes she needs to say a number every time she gets up. I got the drift after a while.
