What's up with all these sexually charged badly written poems? This is more like
porno critical; where's the quality control preventing these hormonally challenged teens from posting their fantasies-off-a-sex-website?
Even if my assumption is incorrect, there are standards preventing explicit ranting from being masqueraded as art even if its poet says otherwise. And if the so called poet published these works simply to demean this website, then you have totally miscomprehended the spirit of PC .

What can we do but let the poet post what they want? There are no controls to prevent the breakdown of poetry into pornograpoems.
I think your assumption is right on but because this is an open, non-regulated site, this is the price we have to pay.
I'd like to voice my opinion that when someone has to use potty words and string together that crap into a poem, that is not a poet. Poets respect words, use them judiciously. I'm not saying that curse words have no place but to use them for shock effect usually only means there is real lack on the part of the writer.
There are no standards here anymore. There is nothing you can say to shame anyone, either, as there will always be some damned fool who will say it's ART.
Yeah, like a cross in a bottle of pee is art.

I agree with you in that point, I've seen rubbish paraded around as if it was the creation of a genius, when it was nothing more than nonsense disguised as even more nonsense but had seemingly high-end people vouching for its validity.
I think it's a money thing.
I can pretty much guess which poems caused this stir..alot of them lately. It must be th summer heat.

Oh no AlchemiA, it has nothing to do with your poem. I actually liked
~~~ sinusoidally embraced ~~~ very much. This thread was posted to address some "other" poems that have been very recently posted. That's the distinction between poetry and well....non poetry. Keep up the good work.

what are you lurking here for? do you really think that this writing you're looking for here is really porn? it's writing: poetry and expression. if the the surface looks like sex to you... but that's maybe what you're looking for? for sure, anyone can say that to you, but it's really irrelevant that you're commenting on it, unless it's a moral or religious issue, and this isn't that kind of site -- isn't a pulse parade of values. as a poet's site, we're really only looking for how someone constructed Any kind of writing -- it's not a poetry show-case for casual readers.
but, you, yourself, and your viewpoint... people who use "so called" in the way you use it automatically disqualify themselves from any serious dialog on the arts. it's simply an admission of your lack of qualifications and experience in the creative process.

Poetry is about the human experience. A means to express it anyway. Sex and sexually charged awkward teenage years are part of the human experience.

And joey you are addicted to finding excuses for things that other people seem to agree on. If there was a brilliantly written piece of work you'd destroy it for kicks and pick the worst display of word binding and consider it your protege. And then you come up with long speeches trying to make a case that no one understands or are too ashamed to admit that they didn't get and then the all knowing joey sits there smirking. Not everyone who wants to express himself is doing it in the correct way, otherwise mental disease would simply be an extension of the normal thought process and must be appreciated for its alleged message as opposed to its liability on society if left untreated.
I expect now the most beautifully fabricated bash down but the truth of the matter is that since you seem to disagree on so much it seems you've just made a habit of it and you don't feel strongly about any of this.
