on birthdays and the birth of censorship and whatnot  fractalcore  21 Jun 08 5:15PM Thread Closed

forgot to greet you yesterday, midare.
so belated happy birthday.

happy birthday today, AlchemiA.

joey, happy birthday for the whole month.

i notice that even DeformedLion's comments on his
very own poems are gone. can the mods please
explain that? are you becoming a little too emotional
over this right after that PLA invasion?

enlighten me, mods.
and please be reasonable.

thanks, f.c., sixty-two's coming next tuesday, and, really, i've never been sixty-two before. pretty cool.

what time of year is yours?

it's feb. 6, the same as Bob Marley's birthday.
i suppose you've read "UHKWAYEREEAN AYEGE UHND (K)WUHTS(!) UHN UH NAYEM?".

now i'm gonna mark yours on the calendar.
so you're a john the baptist type of guy, huh?

: )

that's me, and he was pretty cool. i figure him for the ur-christ -- what the break from formalist religion was supposed to be like. totally untenable of course -- need our head altered. but, running around naked in the desert -- you been to isreal? seen the dead sea? you don't wear nothing at all if you can help it -- especially not some hairy old animal skin. so, here's john running around, and maybe friends with the j-dude, though i doubt it -- the symmetry thing seems too obvious -- the need for an entity at the exact world-time opposite of jesus. but, yes, i do want to immerse myself in water -- it's what's mostly in my writing -- and will take you all into water -- nothing personal though -- like, what you do with water is your own thing with water.

reality of being naked in the wilderness is there's no one to share it with. that's the good part.

anyway, what do you see as "john the baptist" that a type might be a guy in?

i remember some unk saying this one guy invented this other guy.
"baptized" would've worked better. would jesus have killed john
if john ever tried to invent him?

well, john and jeez were kindred spirits and wouldn't need
to resort to violent thoughts/deeds to get a point across. didn't
they use figurative language and parables and stuff like that?
i think their language was elitist, don't you? and they put their
lives on the line with what they were doing.

talk about risks.

so now you're denied access and not allowed to respond?
jeezuss!

As soon as he mentioned it I looked through the suspended comments and couldn't find anything. Perhaps it's a site hiccup. I certainly didn't remove them, don't know about plath. I know that some other random things seems to have blipped. It looks like Donald's cleaning up a bit, but maybe some blips are happening as a result. Appy polly loggies.

thanks, keats. things are a bit clearer now.
do you think those PLA guys can really hack the site,
i.e. do some cleaning on their own? i thought don tetto
and you guys had already gotten rid of them.

and i hate to mention it, but what is this seemingly
concerted effort focused on the baby kangaroo?

The only thing I can think of is joey's white knighting for the prickly invaders, not to mention his few s(hit) choice words.  I like joey, I genuinely do, but he tends to be either be anal retentive or have diarrhea of the mouth.
