What? Where do you live? I know some cities around Los Angeles where they're trying to ban ANY smoking at all, make it a crime to smoke around your own kids.

Ban smoking of any kind? Why not worry about the avid illegal drug activity before moving onto a legal drug? It's common sense not to smoke around your children, and I understand the "don't smoke withing 20 feet of a building". To make it illegal is silly and too controlling on those that enjoy smoking. If they're going to make everyone in those towns quit smoking, they'd better provide them with a free program to quit (nicotine gum, maybe those smokeless cigarettes or whatever) and a free gym membership.

I can't imagine the law passing, although CA is getting more and more tough on smokers. Imagine if they got tough on tobacco manufacturers instead! It's stupid and a waste of tax money. I don't smoke or like the smell of it but I don't want to legislate the lack of it for anyone else. I do like restaurants that have no smoking but in your own house? Stupid!
