The Jolly Pulpit  netskyIam  25 Aug 08 3:59PM Thread Closed

I spoiled someone else's thread by de-tracking from the Cat Stevens song topic.
Here is a thread for the person I riled, to dialog with us about the e-vile of

Ego Gratification?

If you think the Lord Supreme is the cost of all the famine and wars or miseries.

Then you're a bigger fool. The problem with you Net is your way too preoccupied with your own personal circumstances. You are not thinking about All.

True freedom is rising above ego gratification and seeing the ultimate goal to which all can benefit.

Hello here, unknown.  Welcome.  I intend to give you more than equal time.
Let's see if I can be placid and circumspect.

Will you post logged in?  If not, why? If you prefer then, give me a name of some sort by which to call you in this thread.

Unks to the left of me, unks to the right! (lol)
Phantom Voices in the windage of this thread, just not in my head , ha ha.

Cheers,

Reid

I don't advocate really misbehaving in socially destructive ways,
however this Cole Porter classic is full of poetic philosophy
and purest, innocent charm to those not shackled to Xty Puritanism.

Hear between the lines.  Measure your time.

I know very well that I start threads and then conduct them like some guy waving a baton.

I do this to force thought: my own, but also to get your thoughts.

So far, no-one but me is signed in, or identifies with a pen name for this thread.

Is Jesus reading and writing in this thread to-day?

I was, my son, but then I noticed all those posts suspended by moderators and it really pissed me off, so I thought, Fuck it.  Fuck you all, Satan's minions.

This is the Jolly Pulpit:
not satanic or pointless drivel.
Drive a new tractor home and save your own farm.
