To all our Canadian poets, happy thanksgiving.  Someone give us details of how your holiday came about, please, and tell us your traditions.

maple leaf rags and rages against the USA's attack upon their then-colony, back in the war of 1812, the first war of agression of the USA, which was, quite properly LOST.

that may not be the reason for Canadian Thanksgiving.   But through my eyes, it suggests a very good reason for that country to be 'thankful'.

My calendar is saying it's Thanksgiving there, not Independence day.

used to be, a condition seen only in the elderly.

nowadays, 'senility' (stupidity, short sightedness) is the common denominator 'linking' most young adults.

and there you are.
