what might it be,
that we can call,
the joey clan,
when night does fall?
a hidden throng,
of fiery braves?
a den of woe,
a tweaker rave?

This is going to be a toughie. Remember, reid never finished high school nor had any training before writing his first poem at his age of fifty (am 54 now)
ready? it's complicated, for sure. I understand it, but can you?

GHOSTLY JEERINGS
Abe's a mary in a booth
Waiting for Derringer's truth
Mary Todd with Abe no more
She's gone quite mad
And now no more
Edwin Booth, good blood of John,
Redeem my name and carry on...
You ac-tor-states-man-play-right-po-et
Shut up 'for head shats grey
Bul-let
Splat-ters ma-ter pa-ter mat-ters
Gory Ed. ward
...as King Lear.

It did not format correctly, though it was a simple copy and paste.
I know now: in this message board section, html tags must be closed manually,
whereas, in the poem list, every line of a poem must carry a prefixed html tag.
The next try, the poem should have two non-bolded (whispered in relation) sections:
the "Edwin Booth.." line, and the last line, for that is Lincoln, pleading.
OK try again:

Waiting for Derringer's truth

She's gone quite mad
And now no more

I know that was read to me when I was an infant. It is still there, that bit...
How does it go? Revive a fifty year-ago memory, Mongrol?

'For it is when we don't question our own actions that we are blind to the ill effects.'--We would each do well to remember these wise words.
