Get a Grip  unknown  31 Mar 09 6:31PM Thread Closed

"The more you tighten your grip, [mod squad], the more star systems will slip through your fingers."

I would like to believe that things can go on as usual, that I could make a nice thread about having a contest to write poetry about a little picture, or discuss what being a poet means to you, but all I can think about is what a mess this site has become, not because of you, but because of those who would place us under their thumb.

So very very wrong of you.

I suspect you are the very person, or at least one of them, vandalising threads and getting them closed, for your own self serving sense of satisfaction.

I would have pity for you, but you're very aware of your own hypocrisy, and you hate yourself enough for both of us :)

You are making this site a mess..  don't put yourself on a fake pedestal.

you don't write poetry from little pictures, you write descriptions of someone else's art piece. to find poetry make a picture in words of what you lost. anything else is just show-off with lego-words. you're trying to put us in your control by controlling what art is. art is only art.

No, you are mistaken and assume the worst, I want only the best for this site but I think it might be hopeless now. Maybe the best thing to do would be to delete the message board and allow people to continue posting poems. I for one am sick to death of perfectly good threads coming to an end like they always do with a bunch of insults and foul language. On the other hand the mods believe they are helping but it is a losing battle and victory, if had, will see a bleak battlefield with no winners.

You must be a newbie for I was referring to real contests that used to take place on PC. Every week there would be a guy who would find a photograph for poets to write poems about on the Internet, it was purely for fun.

i like how plath has to keep reminding us that threads will be deleted locked etc.

doesn't she realize that she is an impotent pup?

that she is on her downward spiral. that the fact that she needs to constantly remind us of her worthless policies is that no one really gives a shit about them anyway. and the ones that do are just doing this shit to piss her off. and fuck this site over to make them choke on their ignorance.

empty threats over the internet. we are shaking in our boots plath. you daft twat.

hmm, i've got an idea. why don't you all go masturbate, since you haven't had any action in years. maybe it will relax your tightened buttocks and set free the cockroach up your ass

Gynoid has been responsible for more thread closures than anyone on PC

Blaming the Mods for trying to contain the situation is a mistake. Look to the unknown function being abused as the core, and extrapolate from there.

I agree with you otherwise, perfectly good threads reduced to lamer one liners, and bitchy comments from people such as Mor, and Mike, and unnamed others, hiding behind the unknown is not healthy for the site.

Take the unknown facility away, the tracability, providence and continuity of an account can be followed.

Closing the threads will serve no purpose other than push the idiots back out onto the poetry crit spaces, and will be far more upsetting to those who are simply placing their work here for an honest appraisal, review and/or workshop. At lreast here, it is somewhat ring-fenced.

The Mods are working well within the constraints they find themselves in... and as has been mentioned before, if the owner of this site has allowed for a Super Admin level Moderator, there would be full control over this site, as it should be, to conform with some of the protections it says it should be, especially to the young under-aged.
Were this any other site, again as said before, this would be the conditions we'd exist under here.
PC is a great site, with far more freedom than most others out there, perhaps not the level some are used to when this site first began.
So the only question is why did Rafter consider he would need Moderators on this site at all?
Whatever the reason, they are here, they do their best, it is not a bad thing.

:)
