testimonial for a change in seasons
spaces

a clockwork girl has
 1
halted to wait for spring.
 2

observe her sillhouette --
 3
a stillness born of
 4
iron & dead things.
 5

her silence is immense
 6
and seems to hold all
 7
queries of futility:
 8

reflected in empty eyes
 9
our in/humanity --
 10
the great & grotesque
 11
cogs of deceit & greed,
 12
monuments to that
 13
steel which rots
 14
green & growing souls.
 15

an insurmountable presence;
 16
eternal vigil for the sins of man.
 17

but there --
 18
curling stubbornly
 19
'twixt metallic thighs
 20
-- is the twisting shadow
 21
of a fecund vine.

>eye twitches< This is somehow disturbing, but I can't tell you how. I really like the 5th stanza best.

*wow*
this is beautiful, and i'd like to know more about the subject from whence it's drawn ... at times i saw Kali ... others, Gaia ...

Goddess poetry?

in any case ... absolutely lovely ... wouldn't change a word

I like this, but the imagery takes me to a place I don't like. That is a good thing, though.
