the problem of giving

my fingers bleed my heart
goes to full extension
my body exhaustion weeps
and brain practiced
to be fit and thoughtful
hands are scared from wrapping
presents, muscles knotted
from dragging crosses
eyes sored from absorbing ears
ringing and tongue not wagging
knees stiffened by crouching arms
are strong from reaching
lips are cracked from laughing
with people are forgetful.
