the construction worker's charm
Inuki

i admire those dusky men
 1
toiling away into the raw red nights
 2
until their skin grows thick
 3
like cow-hide
 4
and their hearts harden like the iron
 5
they work with.
 6

i admire them
 7
down to the sweat
 8
that sheens on their naked bodies at night
 9
groaning under the strain
 10

i salute their slippery wet hands
 11
greased with sweat and blood
 12
as they wipe their tired, messy brows
 13
rub their helmets for good luck
 14
and head to work
 15
after a long day at home.

It makes me think of gay porn. Seriously.
Um, not that I've ever watched it or anything.
But "groaning", "sweat", "rub", "naked bodies", "head"...
They're all gay connotations!
