Did you mean "the" rather than "he" in line one? I enjoy convoluted poetry as much I do abstract art. It forces me to stop and re-read and really appreciate one's artistry. — SirBoggy
Sing me to sleep, please!
I'd love to hear this before I fall asleep each night. It reminds me of a childhood lullaby. (: I like it a lot! Ahhhhh. So soothing are your words. — ducktape
::Applause:: Well done mate. You say it best with few words. Does remind me of a lullaby also. It would sound really cool if read with light guitar strumming in the background. and ya the first line. Its through. you spaced at the wrong point and left the t with the through. cool.

Is there a hidden meaning behind the title? Like a personal thing? Im not connecting the title to that content of the poem. Hm. Ok.

a lullaby. I am reminded of a now-forgotten old favorite: Emmett's Lullaby. It used to be -the- popular favorite more than a century ago. Much recorded in the era of wax cylinder. Look up its verse and see why it hit so well
"go to sleep my Le-e-na, my darling baby girl" — frankensteen
So you say you'd like to hear that at nights? Think of the person who got that. She gets stuff like that from me once in a while, usually when the moon is shining into my room as it was that night. A sign that poetry doesn't need to be complex or excessive to stir the senses. — EdwardDurden
