today I start Prozac at age eighteen and a half
psychedelico

I take my stethoscope and hold it against your slumbering forehead.
 1
Intently, I listen to the answering machine playback of your mind.
 2

Hello, you've reached...
 3
the other side of nothing.
 4
Everyone else's day is just beginning and mine is neverending.
 5
Why are you too scared to say what you think?
 6
Why do I have to misuse Dr. Feelgood's instruments just to pry a little honesty from you?
 7

A tendril of indian red falls across your milky plain of sickly palor, and I slap the shit out of you just because I can.

Welcome to reality. Please leave a message.

I hate  the Dr Feelgood term. It's trite and sounds dated. It drags down the rest of the language in this this. Love it apart from that.

I love this mostly.  I like the disconnected sense of it.

this is impressive...i don't think the word intently fits but try something else...that's all that i would change though

Geez, don't take Prozac if you're bi-polar.  Who's the disturbed one here?  The title suggests that you are, but the poem suggests that you both are.  Or are there two voices here?  You and you?  Maybe I'm the one in need of medication; the more questions I ask, the better I like this.  Hmmm.

Line 5--never-ending

I assume that this is supposed to be a bumpy ride.  If so, well done.
