retouched a bit — netskyIam
hey netsky, this isn't about YOUR poem, but could you help me out a bit? I'm home sick and I have a poetry project due tomorrow, and I need you to name all the types of feet in poetry. Don't need to define them, i can look it up. I know there is Iambic, and Pentameter, i just aghh, can't remember. . . if you could help me out that'd be great. I'm trying to figure out which foot the lyrics to the song "She" by Greenday is written in. If you could just tell me on that. . . that'd be good :-P the link is here:: http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/greenday/she. html
p.s-- sorry for being such a drag, if you CAN help me, THANK YOUU!!!!
--Claire — MywrdsRmyAiR
wait-- Pentameter isn't a foot scheme. . . dammit! — unknown
OR ANYONE CAN HELP IF THEY WANT!!!! PLEASEE!!

Ohh, the meter scheme would be greatly appreciated as well. . . I already know it's open.

I don't know a thing, not a -thing- about poetry mechanics and that's not me being modestly sssstupid. It's just my determined ignorance. It shows in many of my poems. I don't give a rip for learing meter but I should. I don't. My buddy Jerry Herman cannnot read music. Yet he made hit tunes for Broadway. So, I am learning poetry by ear alone and damn th' torpedos! (grins for you all) Goodbye! Dolly! — netskyIam
lol, whadda shame, whadda shame. I on the otherhand, am REQUIRED to learn the goddam mechanics of poetry. lol, though i do not use them ***(intentionally)*** in my poetry. lol, I have gotten Gordon (mould_jesus) to help me, so he'll do that later. Thanx anyways though, lol. Oh, by the way, I'm just getting into highschool come fall, so you see, it's a graded project, lol, other wise, I'd SOO forget about poetry, but I'm determined to get a English major degree at Wells college, so you know, i gotta get them A's! lol. Later

Pretty...... — Lilac
thanks for your gift, Lilac. the poem is protest against some shenanigans on the message board here. An imposter took on the guise of Donald Tetto (site owner). Some unkown/s gleefully pins that crime on me and so- works to get me banned again.
were it not for the people here who =are= decent to me, I'd just go, and stay gone, by -my- volition; not at the instigation of some prevaricator, who does not sign the j'accuse. — netskyIam

I seemed to have come to PC too late to catch the drama...but I still got a kick outta this~ — angelyn

revison, refinement of an early poem that read this way:
---
I see clearly all I've seen
over and over and so does Mor.
Slow-stewed he, too, in such tannics
as would render flesh to leather.
We used to see not past our noons
until set low by darkers.
We will not to end here
But yes, we shall
I sense all of this quite clearly now
unblindered and unblinking,
garreted low in this mossy gaol.
A bog man's incomplete recall.
As if and of lost past.

Please stop being decent, everyone. Deliver us from Netsky and Mor. PLEASE. — unknown

Above: directions for removing Mor and myself from PC.
a) find a wet peat bog
b) strangle us with leather cord
c) bury us in the peat bog
d) that is all. — netskyIam
