| I met her at the Firth of Forth. | 1 |
I wooed her with the Ring of Thoth. | 2 |
Alas, that ancient thing was not | 3 |
enough to charm the Maiden 'FoF'. | 4 |
| |
For 'FoF' I rang a belly button; | 5 |
ting-a-ling, I pressed | 6 |
announcing an unwelcome... | 7 |
guess? | 8 |
| |
"Is 'K' at home? And if not, 'FoF'?" | 9 |
| |
NO, neither's not. | 10 |
How you persist! | 11 |
Annoy me more? | 12 |
You'll meet my fist! | 13 |

~ | 14 |
| |
I met her at the Firth of Forth. | 15 |
I wooed her with the Ring of Thoth | 16 |
and when that failed to finalize, | 17 |
I delved into two FoFfy eyes | 18 |
and murred, | 19 |
"My savage, special love | 20 |
Egyptian-troth to me today?" | 21 |
| |
I am not Thoth. I have no Ring. | 22 |
I am not much of anything. | 23 |
But to that girl I sent a plea, | 24 |
ill-fated to a dry send-off | 25 |
of netsky, the failed | 26 |
tributary | 27 |
to the firth of his lost FoF. | 28 |

I want to like this. I really do.
Thoth is not pronounces THoth, it is said THO. So the entire rhyme is off for me.
Sorry, man. Other than that it's kick ass. — themolly
thanks for the compliment but as for the pronounciation, what is your source of prououncition authority? I am doubtful. I see a 'th' in the name, which is a anglized transliteration, right? Who would not pronounce the "th", then? hmmm... help, please, anyone? -But- nonetheless, I'm much obliged for your attention and kind words. — netskyIam
google search terms: "define thoth":
Dictionary
Thoth (thōth, tōt) pronunciation
n. Mythology.
The Egyptian god of the moon and of wisdom and learning, usually represented as having the head and neck of an ibis.
Encyclopedia
Thoth (thŏth, tōt) , in Egyptian religion, god of wisdom and magic. A patron of learning and of the arts, he was credited with many inventions, including writing, geometry, and astronomy. Perhaps originally a moon god, Thoth was also a messenger and scribe for the gods. He was identified by the Greeks with Hermes and as such was specifically named Hermes Trismegistus (see Hermetic books). He was variously represented as an ibis, as an ibis-headed man, or as a baboon.
===how fitting to -me-, ha ha... apologies for my glaring typos and misplaced articles=== — netskyIam
another update... i did no research for the poem. the term "Ring of Thoth" comes from childhood memory of reading a short story of the supernatural, by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Now, I google search "ring of thoth". To my surprise, this takes you directly to a very beautful web page containing the entire story. Go have a look at it. It's wonder... and though I used "ring of thoth" purely as a poetic device it does have a prior basis in literature rather more masterful than my poetic robbing of Doyle's story title. ring of thoth, in your google search bar. cannot install a link here, or I would. Now, am off to renew my acquaintance with a long-lost tale — netskyIam
Getting loved by me is like being crushed by, literally, a ton of feathers.
Good work here, Net. ^^ — FangzOfFire
Read any Melchizedek writings? Trust me dude, it's said THO — themolly
themolly: I am really un-read and uneducated in any formal sense. How do the dictionaries define the pronounciation? I see "TH" in all allowable prounciations. In fact, the "th" seems to be the predominant prounounciation. So "trust" without documentation does not mean a whole lot here. It's a poem (grin) so trust me: I pronounce THOTH as it is spelled. Fangz: IamGooseDownFarmer. I can take a featherweight of love, and even more can I give. It's easy when one is pure. We're both pure in this way. No harm can come between us 'cos no penis is between us. I'm pretty safe, as far as you're concerned! HEY, tho: do you recall the source of the line:
I am not much of a-net'-thing
???? well, do you? Well! I never forgot but I always forgive little slips of girls — netskyIam
Because this is a joy to charm Fangz, I just realized...how to connect for you, Fangz, the wildly different connetions here today. You shall never forget this exact distillation! (grinning)
