Deluded
Rull

I know it's wrong
 1
to tarry in this misery,
 2
to await the instigator
 3
of my pain.
 4

But I'm not immune
 5
to memories of happiness
 6
that catch me
 7
in the moment of leaving.
 8

I know it's insane
 9
to place my life
 10
in the realm of an abuser,
 11
who thinks a kiss is a bite
 12
and love a slap ...
 13

To long for signs of tenderness
 14
from hands
 15
that know only to bruise
 16
and hurt.
 17

But, I'm still infatuated
 18
with the illusion I imagined,
 19
instead of the monster
 20
that exist.
