toes stuck in the sand.
midare

and it hurts
 1
like a photograph, baby,
 2
like a picture posed perfectly
 3
between my shoulder blades
 4
and the sunset waxing hazily
 5
in the background
 6
over a shore of sand
 7
and a tide that
 8
washes dreamily
 9
while i procrastinate
 10
leaving behind your memory
 11

between rounds of
 12
drinking hopscotch and thinking
 13
that it sounds so nice
 14
when you say
 15
'i won't ever let go, no
 16
no never letting go
 17
of you--'
 18

and then you fall flat
 19
between the number eight
 20
and the starlit serenade
 21
that comes when you put
 22
your foot down too hard
 23
on asphalt and you've got
 24
your toes stuck in the sand.

this is way to cute, makes me think of a little baby walking on the seashore, it get nicer and nicer as you read it over and over, so i thought does "toes stuck on the sand" means something like holding on to something?. this seem like a lovepoem.. hmm...
