To the Peasants
listen

Up
 1

rising,
 2

without a grand purpose.
 3

Tricky little creatures,
 4
disgusting,
 5
filthy,
 6
demanding what they
 7
have not.
 8

Coveting grand glory,
 9
grand nothing,
 10

searching for something of greater
 11
value,
 12

even though they have all they
 13

need
 14

to survive their dirty lives;
 15
I'm sorry that rags aren’t
 16
enough for you;
 17

but my noble standing
 18
is miniscule
 19
in generosity.
 20

An atrocity;
 21
but
 22

you,
 23
dear
 24

Peasants
 25

are something greater.

Line 4, excellent. I'm not sure about the capitalization after each line break, overall very good.

thanks for the comment. i'll think about that change, though i went in with the intention of doing that capitalization. it just seems to work for me.
  i don't know though.

Great poem which so succinctly delineates the pecking order among the humans who wreck the world we inhabit. All those with have is collectable shit and that's all those without want so which ever way you look at it we're mired.

thanks, man. i think it is necessary for people to be glad for what they have and not try to mooch off the upper class, so to speak. or, maybe i should have paid attention in school.
