signature mark of studying:

tapping.

idle facial contortion.
 3
cracking teeth to pen top.
 4
 
 
the library is full of
 5
tribal symbols and smoke
 6
signs. directing nomadic
 7
herds to conversation.
 8
 
 
then to look beyond the chair
 9
                          for more
 10
 
 
greek letters mixed with
 11
designer labels. faux
 12
pseudo-lectual concern for
 13
third world countries.
 14
 
 
they'd never give anything
 15
that wasn't dispensable,
 16
or immediate. like real
 17
thought, or design.
 18
 
 
but that's neither here
 19
                  nor there.
 20
 
 
0-day exploitation of new

world vibrations. taped glasses

and pocket protectors. where

have all the geeks gone?
 24
 
 
too soon to lose too much,

out saving the world with future

fortune 500 companies, start-up

and growth.

let the engine purr a little

first. in dark labs, insomniacs.

astir for work and working till

the lights come on.

and they'll never hear
