The Air, It Still Lingers
DeathShards

The air but a bitter residue
 1
tasting like a smoker's breath
 2
of broken, shattered love
 3
lingering like the heart's desires
 4

Like the heart's desires, it lingers,
 5
the sorrow and tears remand his life,
 6
a staving storm of grief and regret seige his heart,
 7
the air but a bitter residue
 8

A bitter residue in the air to remember him,
 9
a floor stained in crimson blood was all he gave,
 10
a harrowing memory was all he left
 11
to linger like the heart's desire.
