it takes time to savor such a wonderful poem and boy, am I glad for it!
This can be read on some many levels, I almost regret the quasi-resolution at the end.
Your line breaks are quite effective, gasping for breath almost, turning my head in all directions. Going back to the last three lines, a wonderful play on meaning here, invoking a different protagonist, a sense of agency, almost a rhetoric, yet not as self-evident, opening up. Very well done
thank you

oh, this is starr, even better
I read something tonight by Ocatvio Paz, I will share it with you:
"language is poetry in a natural state. ... the word bread touched by the word sun, actually becomes a star; and the sun, in turn, becomes a luminous food."

Maria! Thankyou!!! Happy Taxtime, as if low income status isn't taxing enough! Like I say to all my friends, "I'm low-income, but HIGH output!" God Bless (our wallets this very sombering time of the year) and God Bless you! Thanks again!
:-) — starr
