because i've always wanted to be buried slowly.
midare

suppose that light
 1
could never bend
 2
back-- eyes
 3
feel through hemp
 4
twine, while you and i
 5
float through time
 6
in a hammock--
 7

 8
rocking and winding
 9
havok, heartbeat
 10
rhythm staccato static--
 11

 12
breath is frantic,
 13
and i learn what
 14
it's like to be an addict
 15

 16
while you defy the physics
 17
of keeping me on this
 18
planet, where gravity
 19
is suddenly elastic
 20
and your smile
 21
becomes a paper-mache
 22
casket, so ashen
 23
and inviting.

you have me eating from your hands with this one. Great spectrum of feelings, well thought out, i really enjoyed. I dig the set up in the first stanza, my tick is 2 through, but the last 3 are perfect.

I love the thought of floating through time on a hammock.
