The knock-down price of your passion
unknown

Earlier, at Borders,
 1
I flicked through another anthology
 2
of "Contemporary American Poetry from the 90's".
 3

Another 37 names each more unknown than the next;
 4

I think at first glance, this is funny.  At second glance, it's sad.  I like it, though.

selling our poetry, I find, is a very awful thing to say the least. So who cares if it doesn't sell, as long as we intermingle them with others and grow as poets and human beings. I find this appalling.
 — starwars

it might be appalling but it's true.

what anthology?
 — unknown

Short, but sweet. Very concise! My only suggestion is that line four could be broken up, but thats just me, you can do with it whatever you want......of course. It is funny, though! Good stuff
