Spirit Of The Future

The Mansion House is haunted
by future presences
that have settled beneath blank skies.
A ghostly jig will be briefly danced
to clatter among shackles and chains.
The remaining dead will lay themselves down,
discontented that they have been replaced.

Dear Vida

This poem is very influenced gy "The Dead Come Back To Us In Dreams" by one of my favourite poets, Goeffrey Wainwright. Thanks for the positive comment.
