A dry day,
plenty of sun shine
will brighten the sky.
A couple of clouds might fly by
later tonight and an odd spot might
There will be mild because the bitter is off
and some outbreaks, these fortunately
Tomorrow temperatures will climb back down,
outfaced by a cold affront.
On Saturday night we will all go out
in a blaze of glory.
Sunday will be dull,
so don't take out the punt
as it is advisable not to go even one mile
while the crocodiles hunt.
Sleet for Monday with hail and hearty
showers to bring the flowers out
but don't shout, or you'll bring about,
the skies downfall.

Larry ? Lark
larry the weatherman lark.
the most beautiful poem i've read today, very imaginative. i love the parallel and the ending lines.
Larry, nice to see you up again.
must admit, not my favorite, but you are always consistent with your quality.
An accurate and detailed commentary on the transient situations which constantly befuddle the mind in everyday life and threaten to boost the overall bottom-line of the cold-hearted institution that produces wellies.
sounds like you live nearby
seems kind of mediocre to me.
..trainride. sky. blue. nothing.

larry the ice man cometh lark

Larry self regarding Lark
I am working hard on my quality control but not always succeeding.

Closer than you think
Larry neighbourly Lark
I'll take mediocre which i guess is better than shit.
Larry tiger feet Lark
Exactly! And lets not forget goloshers.
Larry footwear fetish Lark
It reminds me losely of Tom Waits, Emotional Weather Report.
--a cute but not overly trite analogy of moods to the weather. I like it.
