Critically Dissected All-New Fable

Once upon
(we modern critics won't allow upon; the up is spurned, superfluous)
Try again
Once on a time
Begin again if common sense must rule
Once upon a time a maiden smiled up at the Sun
(we wonder if she wasn't blinded)
She spoke
"About your warmth and superb light—
why do you clearly favour me and make me feel alive like this?"
The Sun saw and said nothing for reply
