Random Poem:

Alcohol
bbielinski

The party is coming to an end.
 1
The alcohol starts to wear off,
 2
So I drink some more.
 3
My breathing starts to slow.
 4
I find my usual spot on my friends’ couch,
 5
Strip to my boxers and
 6
Stare at the ceiling fan,
 7
Trying to ignore the fact that there is no girl next to me.
 8
But the thought becomes the main show in my mind
 9
And that’s when the depression sets in.
 10
The alcohol no longer dulls my senses,
 11
It just makes me feel the pain of loneliness that much more.
 12
And that’s when it becomes apparent…
 13
All the love I’ve missed out on and am still missing out on.
 14
Eventually the thought subsides,
 15
The fan continues to spin,
 16
I fall to sleep,
 17
And the next day the sun rises
 18
And my pain is buried under a love for life.
