The Great Leaf Wars

When the Rooties
fought the Budski’s in ‘35
during “The Great Leaf War”,
they devised a papier mache
light as air sycamore shaped bomb
which could be seen coming down
among the pine needle defences
showering the sky for miles and miles.
It twirled slowly to earth,
sending the populace into such a spin,
that they lay down and gave themselves in.

How fun! I love the title and the body.  It's a little confusing in the end what it all means but that doesn't matter for a piece like this. Well done!
