i think if you asked
most would choose love
but fiscal responsibility
is a worthy adversary
picture an arena
a gladiator field
arches all around a festering, spitting crowd
love against money man they'd cheer
money could have a lance
love might have a net
most would expect and side with money
but only to hide their embarrassment
for they'd be internally rooting for love
money has a lance
and love has a net
money is the cumbersome beast
we'd laugh at when outsmarted
