i have a dream

i have a dream
King was naive
for racism can never be eradicated
from hidden hearts
as long as we have eyes
to see.
i have a dream
i swallowed the sun
and there were no days
only nights
fragile hearts
and everyone was one color
and free.

the light will not set you free.
darkness can eliminate distinction.
tragedy can remind us of our similarities,
nocturnal equalities.
