pillow talk

only your pillow knows
the way your hands
curl around
your lover's waist.
the way your lover
gazes at you
while you drift away
on your side.
the demons that
grab you hostage at night
only to release you
in the morning light.
the muffled screams
shadows and ghosts
your hands in prayer
the silence of gods.
the fire lit by an
the contours of
a frozen face.
the movements of
your lovers mouth
the  depths your
tongue would
