If I had the bravery
 1
to commit a crime
 2
I would tie you down
 3
bite your lips
 4
swallow your eyes
 5
split your skull
 6
examine your brain
 7
for proof of my
 8
existence.
 9

Instead I’ve been
 10
sentenced
 11
to watch you
 12
flirt with every
 13
over attentive waiter
 14
my lips gagged
 15
knife and fork stuck
 16
within the hemispheres
 17
of cauliflowers
 18
plate full of
 19
observant olives
 20
passing judgements
 21
in your favor.
 22

vegetables are unhealthy.
